General 2024 Santa Parade Information: 

• Parade theme: To Be Announced

• There will be no parking on Main Street from 4 to 9 p.m.

Parade Entry Information: 

• The staging area for floats will be available at 4:30 p.m. on Elizabeth Street (enter off Lincoln Street).

• Lineup begins at 5 p.m. Drop-off parade participants at Elizabeth and Lincoln; everyone must check-in with a volunteer (wearing orange vest). 

• There are no restroom facilities at the parade lineup area; please plan accordingly. 

• The floats that start the parade (Police car, Color guard, Mayor, Food Drive, city trucks and Charlie's County Market) will line up on Main Street in front of Parkside Apartments. They will be followed by the SCHS band and all other floats, which should line up in the parade staging area (parking lot north of Elizabeth Street) in several rows facing west.

• The final float will be a fire truck carrying Santa and Mrs. Claus. Please, no other Santa. 

• No candy can be thrown from floats or vehicles . For the safety of children, candy must be handed out instead of thrown. Anyone throwing candy will be asked to leave the parade and not allowed to participate in subsequent years. 

• Judging: Trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Best Use of Theme, Best Non-profit Entry, Best Children's Entry, Best Business Entry and People's Choice.

Parade Route:

• Start at Elizabeth and Main, proceed north on Main to Green Bay Street, turn west (left) one block to Washington Street, turn south (left) and end at Franklin Park.

After the Parade:

 

• Visit with Santa at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, 105 S. Washington St., Shawano
