Horticulture Class Plants Downtown Flowers

The Business Improvement District of Shawano downtown worked with the Shawano Community High School (SCHS) horticulture class to plant flowers for downtown businesses. This effort is part of the downtown beautification initiative.

“The horticulture class really enjoyed this project,” states Missy Goers, Ag Educator at SCHS. “Each student had the opportunity to design, plant and care for their own planter. At the end of the semester students complete a course survey, and over half the students indicated this was their favorite project.”
